Mo Pitney

A good mix of modern and traditional on this one.

It has to have been a little frustrating so far for Mo Pitney. He is bringing some traditional sounds back to country music and so far he’s been struggling to get that hit at radio.

It looks like he’s getting ready to release his first album on Curb later this summer. That’s risky without a hit single out at radio, but he’s also preparing this new song as a single.

Will this be his first hit?

Everywhere – Mo Pitney

I can’t imagine how difficult it is for the record labels to break a new act into the mainstream. There are only so many spots each day on the radio stations and people like what they like and it’s hard to fit something new in there.

And the artist has to have the kind of song that people like. I think this new one from Mo Pitney is the right blend of traditional and catchiness. I think it’s something that will kind of get the attention of the casual country listener.

It’s a pretty straight ahead country single for the times with a little nod to the past. Mo’s voice is something like Joe Nichols and Chris Young and that’s a good thing if he’s looking for a hit single.

I’m not entirely sure how this one will do on the charts. I have to say that I’m kind of biased in hoping that Mo finds his breakthrough, but you never know for sure.

What do you think of this one?

Chart Estimate: #20

CML Points: 87/100

We are a bunch of line dancers in the Tri-State are of Nevada, Arizona and California. We are HUGE Mo Pitney fans. Love, Love, Love his music. His music is fun to dance to plus the lyrics are spot on. We often wonder how we can help get his music played on the radio. By far, Mo Pitney brings toe tappin back to dancing. Boots N’ Bling, Colorado River Dancers and Fort Mohave Line Dance Fans. Woot woot go Mo!
