How much do you know about Miranda Lambert? Sure, maybe you know her full name (Miranda Leigh Lambert) and that she was born in Texas on November tenth nineteen eighty-three but what about the real Lambert who went through great loss? Here are five things I bet you didn’t know about Miranda Lambert.
- Miranda Lambert 2?
Miranda Lambert is NOT the only child born to Richard Lee and Beverly June Lambert. Miranda has a younger brother, Luke who stays out of the limelight very often. We don’t know much about him but we do know you can sometimes spot him in Lambert’s old Instagram photos.
- Miranda had a nanny?
Yup. That’s right. Miranda and younger brother Luke had a nanny. But that’s not all they had. You can also put fancy cars and a mansion on the list. Miranda’s parents were private investigators and her dad played guitar for bands on the side. So, it’s safe to say the Lambert family was very well off.
- Eight years of suffering
Many of you probably know that when Miranda was younger she and her family became homeless when her parents lost their business. They were homeless for eight years where they stayed with nearby family and got donations and food from neighbors and church community. It wasn’t until a few years later that a house went up for sale and the Lambert’s had enough money to buy it. It was such a fixer upper that Lambert’s had to sleep in one room together as windows were broken and almost everything needed to be replaced.
- Living on a farm
While the Lambert family begun to fix their new house, they had lots of animals on their property which were mostly used for food. Miranda and Luke were allowed to keep two rabbits as pets as the rest of the animals were going to be used for food.
- The House That Built Me
Did you know this number one hit sung by Miranda Lambert wasn’t actually written by her? It was penned by Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin. When Miranda heard the track she knew she
just had to cut it and that’s what (then boyfriend) Blake Shelton also believed. So much of what the lyrics say are true to the Lambert’s life such as “I bet you didn’t know that under that live
oak my favorite dog is buried in the yard,” and “In that little back room is where I did my homework and I learned to play guitar.”
