It’s been an interesting career for Jerrod Niemann. He’s had two number one hits with a couple others sprinkled in. But he’s never been able to really sustain any momentum.
Last year he changed labels and released a duet with Lee Brice. That song seemed like it was perfect for country radio, but it looks like it stalled out at #28 on the radio charts.
That reminds me…what’s Lee Brice up to?
Anyway, Jerrod is back with another new single. Let’s see what he’s got.
God Made A Woman – Jerrod Niemann
With Jerrod you’re always going to get something funky. He definitely seems to know who he is. He has a certain style and he embraces it. I think it’s why he’s had success.
But can also lead to some struggle. He’s working to find his place, but this song sounds like a good one. It’s a little Lee Brice-like in a few ways.
The song is about a guy that was kind of floating through life. He was living. Things were fine.
But they weren’t great. Then he met a woman. This woman seemed like she was made for him. Or maybe he was made for her.
Whatever happened, he’s fallen head over heels. He’s extremely appreciative of their relationship and how she elevates his life in ways he didn’t even realize were possible.
This is a really good song. It’s a ballad. It’s a love song. I think people are going to find themselves drawn to it. I could even see it becoming a wedding song.
Let me know what you think.
