Here is something different.
The Wild Feathers are this funky group with a really unique sound. You can hear all kinds of influences in the music and in the vocals. It all weaves together to form this unique sound that really isn’t heard in any kind of genre including country music.
Give it a listen and see what you think.
Got It Wrong – The Wild Feathers
I think this song is really cool. It reminds me a little bit of Steve Earle. It’s got some folk elements, but also some rock elements. I think the song is about the love between two people with one person totally underestimating the other. Or maybe it’s about the preconceived notions about that person and how those are wrong.
That’s obviously the hook and title of the song. It’s a good message. So often we make assumptions about people without knowing the full story. It’s how we’ve evolved. We have to make quick guesses about people because there isn’t enough time to get to know everyone. Well, maybe there is, but only a few people really take the time to get to know everyone they meet.
Underneath that story is a really interesting sound. You have a little screaming and some really interesting instrumentation. It’s pretty great and sounds like it could have been a folk rock song from the late ’60s or something.
It’s pretty cool and neat that it’s getting attention in the country world.
