Grace Potter has a new song and video out. Grace has been given just a little nudge into the country world by her pal Kenny Chesney. We last heard Grace singing with Kenny on You and Tequila and she sings harmonies on Kenny’s new single El Cerrito Place. Grace has her own song ready for the charts now. Stars – Grace Potter

Stars is really good. It’s the kind of song that makes you feel emotion. You can feel the sadness coming through from Grace as she sings about the lost love in her life. He’s left her and now things like the stars are reminding her of him and the time they had together. This often happens when two people break up. There is a period when you can’t forget about each other. Everything reminds you of them.

In this case Grace can’t even look at the stars in the sky because they make her think of lost love and that’s obviously sad. It’s a great lyric for a song and really does well for a country song.

Something unique about Grace Potter is her voice. You won’t hear a voice like this in country music. It’s one of kind right now. Sure there are some pop and rock sounds in the music, but I think it fits in country real nice. And the lines are so blurred today that it doesn’t even matter. When the song is good and the artist is good then it’s all good. Just sit back and enjoy this one.
