So this is a bluegrass band that I just discovered. I was looking around to see if Lee Ann Womack had released any new music recently and it turns out that she did a song with this band some time last year.
Then I started digging a little further into The Infamous Stringdusters and found that they have a ton of great music including a new single from a new album that they’re putting out in the near future.
We don’t always have a lot of bluegrass on CML, but I’ve always been a fan. Check this one out and see what you think.
Gravity – The Infamous Stringdusters
The lyrics seem to tell the story of two people kind of figuring things out. Sometimes I don’t really hone in on the lyrics of the song and their meaning. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be with music. It can mean different things to different people.
So maybe that’s kind of the situation. Two people just trying to figure out life while still looking to stay grounded. They could go anywhere and do anything.
Or…maybe it’s about two people falling in love. They’re right at the point where they need to take a leap of faith and see if it works. What’s the worst possible outcome? They end up not working out. That would be painful, but the risk is worth the reward. They could end up being the perfect fit for each other.
Okay, so that’s a little bit of rambling. You’ll have to let me know what you think of the song.
