Sometimes you gotta pack everything in that suitcase and move on.
Here’s another song that’s been on the radio for a few weeks.
Sometimes these songs just slip through the cracks on my radar and I don’t get around to writing them. This one is pretty good. It’s kind of a reminder that sometimes things in life don’t work out.
Suitcase – Gwen Sebastian
The song takes an interesting look at a suitcase. There have been a lot of country songs about breakups, but this one is pretty good.
The suitcase in the song represents all the things the couple did together. They went camping and did all kinds of things, but now the woman discovered another woman’s lipstick on the suitcase.
And the man is out the door. Everything he owns is in the suitcase.
It’s not an original story, but the way it’s told is original and so is Gwen Sebastian. There is no one out there that sounds like her and I think that’s pretty cool.
This song should do well. It has a good melody and I know some people out there will relate to the story.
