A little different. Really good.
Newcomer for us here at CML. J.Antonette looks like she’s been out there making music, building an audience and trying to find that breakthrough.
She just released a new EP and it’s on Spotify and in all the other places. The first single is the first rack from the album. I’m kind of weird, but I always kind of like that. Nice an orderly.
Anyway, this is a good song. A little laid back. A little soft rock. I like it. I think you might too.
Hello, Goodbye – J.Antonette
Sounds like a breakup is going on here. And it actually seems like the guy might be having some regret about the decision. He kind of wants to break things off, but still keep in touch. He wants to keep the friendship and some other benefits, but the narrator knows that it needs to be a full break.
That’s not always easy to do when you’re in that position. Especially if you don’t really see the breakup coming. You still likely have feelings for the person. Now they’re saying that they are still at least a little interested. It would be natural to want to see if things might work out.
But the narrator in this song maybe has been down that road before. She knows better. It might hurt more right now, but she’s saving herself even more pain in the future.
The more I listen to this one the more I like the melody. There are some cool things going on here.
J.Antonette is new to me, but I’ll be checking out her other music.

Hey there Dayne! Very huge thank you for taking the time out to give my new single a nice review! I really appreciate this blog article and will be re-sharing it 🙂 I’m really glad you enjoyed, and I am also glad your interpretation of it was correct! This song is based on an actual conversation between me and an ex.
