Emma White

Watch for this one at country radio.

Here is an artist and a song that have been popping up on a few lists for 2018.

I think Emma White has been mentioned with artists to watch in 2018. I think it’s great that she’s getting recognized. I think the tides are finally turning a little bit with country radio.

But who knows. Just when you think we’ll get some more females on country radio they’ll go right back to the boys club.

Anyway, check this song out. It’s a really good one.

I Thought You Were The One – Emma White

This one has me thinking of the late ’90s a little bit. There was a sound like this right at the turn of the millennium that was similar to this. Kind of that Shedaisy kind of sound. I liked it and so did a lot of other country fans.

We have the story of a woman that’s kind of getting over a guy. Or at least a situation with a guy. Things are over now. She’s thinking about how she had fully committed herself to this guy. She thought he was the one and she was ready to give all of herself to him.

But he blew it. Us guys tend to do that…a lot. We can’t see a good thing even if it’s happening right to us.

This one also reminds me a little bit of Every Little Thing. Just in the sense that it’s a sad song with a traditional twist. Definitely modern, but a little traditional.

I’m rooting for Emma and for this song. I really like it.

Chart Estimate: #10

CML Points: 89/100
