Here is a new artist that’s on a roll.
I think it’s always pretty cool when a new artist finds success. It doesn’t always happen with the very first single that a new artist releases. Sometimes it takes several singles.
We have two extremes in 2016. Locash had a handful of singles that never made much of an impact at radio, but then they had a huge #2 hit with I Love This Life and now they seem to be on a roll.
Then we had Brett Young just reached #2 on the Billboard chart with his debut single, Sleep Without You. Now Brett is ready to keep things going with his new single.

This is a little different from the first single Brett put out and I think that’s a good thing. I don’t know the best strategy for new artists releasing new songs. I know that some like to come out with something uptempo and then stick with what works.
Brett’s first single was uptempo, but it was a love song. This one is pretty slowed down, but it’s also a love song. The story is about a guy that’s finally putting into words the way he feels for the person he loves the most. The thing with guys is that we don’t always express our feelings that well. But we do have intense feelings and in this case the narrator is able to tell his girl how much he loves her.
It’s a really good song. Kind of reminds me of something Thomas Rhett would write.
I think this is another hit.
