Jason Aldean is on tour this summer with Brooks & Dunn.
As of right now, the tour will be the final for the legendary duo. Aldean has to feel lucky to be the one to get to hit the road with these guys for their farewell. The other night as country’s biggest stars paid tribute to Brooks & Dunn, it was obvious that more than a few of the stars had toured and apprenticed under Brooks & Dunn. From Keith Urban to Rascal Flatts to Taylor Swift, there are numerous acts that learned how to play a rocking live show by touring with B&D.
Jason Aldean has been a rising star since he first came on the scene in 2005. He has put together a string of hits that have allowed him to tour as the headliner. However, when the chance came to open for Brooks & Dunn on their Last Rodeo tour thee was no doubt that Jason would benefit from that experience.
Larry Rogers of AZ Central accurate describes Jason Aldean’s future in Brooks & Dunn bid farewell to Phoenix:
This 33-year-old singer [Jason Aldean] is one of the bright lights who will help fill the void when Brooks & Dunn shut things down for good.
Aldean is certainly taking a cue from B&D. He’s recording great songs that play well on radio and for live crowds.
Jason acknowledges to 107.9 WIRK in South Florida that the tour has been great.
Aldean knew the chance to learn from the greats was a chance nobody could pass up.
Recently, as artist paid tribute to Brooks & Dunn, Aldean performed the duo’s major hit How Long Gone. It was a great performance and a great tribute.
As a fan of Brooks & Dunn, Jason Aldean is paying his respect to the legends as he learns from touring with them on their farewell tour this summer. Hopefully Jason will continue his own success as he takes what he learns and improves on his already impressive live show.
