Jason Aldean’s career got off to a hot start in 2005 with his debut top ten single Hicktown. The song showed the rocking side of Aldean and introduced him to a hardcore group of rocking country fans. However, as happens with so many new country artists, Aldean had to prove he would be more than just a one hit wonder.
Jason Aldean’s second album was success. Two singles reached the top ten and another hit the top twenty. The second album Relentless went gold. It was a success by some measures, but after the platinum success of his debut album it’s easy to see that Aldean was anxious to kick things up a notch with his third album.
In late 2008, Jason Aldean released the lead off single to his third album. The song She’s Country changed Jason’s course in country music. The song became a #1 smash hit. The second single Big Green Tractor also hit #1. The two songs were completely different and it showed Aldean’s ability as a vocalist.
During Big Green Tractor‘s run on the charts is when Jason Aldean became a country superstar.
After two more successful singles from his third album Wide Open, Jason Aldean has himself at a new level of success. He’s working on a new album for release this fall.
Aldean is also looking forward to getting together with some good friends and fellow artists this summer on the fair and festival circuit. Is there a potential duet to be included on the album? Maybe a rocking, fun song with the likes of buddy Luke Bryan?
