A great song and video from one of my favorite acts: Joey + Rory.
Joey + Rory have never made it big on the country singles charts, but they’ve always released great music. People love buying the records and seeing them live in concert, but for some reason the music just doesn’t make it onto radio stations.
That’s alright because we have better ways to discover music these days like right here on Country Music Life.
A few months ago Joey + Rory released a new song. It was the first release from their upcoming album that contains mostly gospel songs.

I don’t think there is anything more beautiful in country music than Joey’s voice paired with Rory’s songwriter. They just have this connection that makes you feel good about life and where you are right now.
This song is nostalgic. It’s about looking back on the times of old and thinking those were the good old days. Life seemed simple back then. We maybe weren’t as busy and we could just relax and hang out and stay out of trouble.
I don’t know if that’s really how it was back then, but I know this song is beautiful and it makes me want to sit in the meal house and listen to Joey + Rory sing all evening. They just give you this warm feeling of love and comfort when you listen to them.
Great song from one of country’s under the radar acts.
