A boy from Georgia has been struggling to break through with his music for years.

Today, Josh Kelley is finding a home in country music after many years kicking around with his song about home – Georgia Clay. The song is climbing the country charts and it would seem there is room for two Kelley brothers in the country world.

Some of you may remember Josh Kelley from his 2003-2004 pop hit Amazing. When I was reading up on Josh after hearing his new hit I was surprised to know that he was the guy that sang Amazing. I remember the song. It was catchy and a good pop tune.

Some of you may also recognize Josh for his Hollywood wife Katherine Heigl. She’s been the star of numerous blockbuster movies and the popular TV show Grey’s Anatomy.

Some of you may also recognize Josh’s younger brother Charles Kelley, leader singer of Lady Antebellum.

But now it’s Josh’s turn to find his home in country music. Georgia Clay seems to be the song that takes Josh back to his Georgia roots. He spent time in Hollywood pursing the pop music world fame, but now with this song it seems he fits well in country music.

Georgia Clay is a song that looks back on the life Josh led has a teen in Georgia. The partying in the local town. The kid with the fake I.D. that allowed the group of friends to get a little liquor on the weekends. The kissing the girls on the tailgate of a pickup truck. Sure it all seems familiar to the country fan, but there is something unique here. I think it’s the background Josh comes from. He seems to be an original coming full circle with his music.
