Josh Turner has one of the most recognizable voices in country music right now.
His low baritone shakes the walls as he bellows from the deepest parts of his soul to tell stories of love, heartbreak, and good old fashion country fun. Josh’s voice is reminiscent of the great Randy Travis. The two both love to sing traditional country music with a little hint of gospel.
Now Turner is set to release the next single from his Haywire album. That single will be one some traditional country fans may remember.
The single is I Wouldn’t Be A Manand it’s one soulful and sultry tune.
Turner’s deep voice finds its place on the song that tells the story of a guy expressing his love to his woman. He knows he wouldn’t be a true man if he didn’t get all hot and excited each time his woman came around.
This song is romantic and there is really no one better to sing it in country today than Josh Turner. When he gets down low on the No holding back… it makes the walls tremble. This song has some emotion and feeling behind it. This one will stand out on radio.
The Don Williams version of the song hit #9 on the charts back in 1987 and with Turner’s recent streak of top hits the song is sure to find its way back to the top ten once again. It’ll be nice to have country singer-songwriter and former NFL lineman Mike Reid back on the charts. He’s been a Nashville songwriting legend since the late ’70s.
What are your thoughts on the new song?
