Happy New Year!
We’ll start out 2017 with a new song from a new artist, at least to us here at CML. Beth Beighey has a good song with this one. It looks like she’s been releasing music on her own for at least a little while. This one is pretty good. I’m liking it.
You’ll find that it shows influence from a few different styles. A little country. A little adult contemporary. It’s pretty cool. I think you’ll like it.
Just Another Heartache – Beth Beighey
From what I’m hearing in this one it sounds like it’s about a woman that’s going through a difficult breakup. It sounds like she is the one that was kind of caught off guard by the guy leaving. She’s thinking that he’s not really sure of what he’s doing. He’s not sure what he wants. She knows that he’s probably making a mistake by leaving her.
This is always a difficult situation to be in. The person you care so much for is leaving and you feel that they’re making a mistake, but maybe it’s just a way to deal with the pain of them leaving. It’s not easy to put yourself completely out there for someone only to have them break your heart.
That’s difficult to come back from, but eventually it usually does happen. You have to move on from the person.
This is a good song. The story is something that many of us experience, unfortunately, in life. And the melodies are good. It has that modern style that country fans have been liking.
What do you think?
