She is still one of the best.
Reba released a great album last year. The first single, Going Out Like That, cracked the top 30 on the radio chart. That’s pretty impressive for an artist that’s been around for decades like Reba. She is still as relevant as ever and there is definitely a place for her on country radio.
She’s back with a new single from that album. It’s 2016 and I think this one could be something special.
Just Like Them Horses – Reba McEntire
The production on this one is beautiful. It reminds me of some of the biggest and most powerful ballads in country’s history. You would expect that from Reba because she’s had some of those big ballads throughout her career.
This song is really a story that I think is about someone passing. It seems like it’s an older couple, but it doesn’t have to be that exact situation. The man in the story is passing. You don’t catch on to it right away, but he’s passing and letting the one he loves that he’ll be okay.
The setting is classic country. You picture the couple out on their ranch. They live beneath the mountains and they have a ranch with horses or potentially they can see wild horses from their porch.
And just like he used to ride out into the setting sun on his horse, it’s now time for him to ride out of this life under the sun so he can be where he belongs. And it’s all going to be okay.
A really beautiful song from one of country’s greatest artists.

Reba is one of the best female country singers of all time. Any song she puts out is top of the line. I’ve never seen a bad one. You can always relate to whats she’s saying. This one is no different; Everyone who’s lived awhile understands her. A beautiful lady, with a beautiful voice. She’s still the reining Queen!!!!
