Two Step by Laura Bell Bundy

Things are about to change in country music.

Some people are going to love it and some will hate it. I’m on the side right now that I think a little dance music is a good thing for country music. Sometimes people just want to get out on the floor and shake it.

Dance music has always been a party of country. We had the line dancing craze back in the ’80s and now there is a group of young artists looking to take it a step further.

And it starts with Laura Bell Bundy.

Laura Bell just signed with Big Machine. Scott Borchetta seems to really think the country dance sub-genre is going to take off so it feels like there will be a big push behind this song and the new Laura Bell Bundy record. It Scott’s working on it you know things could turn out to be huge.

We’ll have to wait and see.

I’ve heard the song a few times now and I do have to admit it’s pretty catchy. It does make you feel like getting up and dancing.

It’s also worth noting that Colt Ford is on the track. He’s on his own label and I could see him becoming a frequent guest on new songs like this. He can do what he wants and get his name out there with a bunch of artists. It’s pretty cool.
