LeAnn Rimes has had a controversial life the past few years.
LeAnn Rimes has taken tongue lashing from the brave souls sitting behind their computer screens and behind closed doors over the last few years. I guess we all have opinions about the things others do even if we sweep our own stories under the rug.
Oh well. I’m a huge LeAnn Rimes fan. I think it’s always a good thing to have new music from her. She’s probably one of the best voices in country music today and maybe of all time. There is nobody out there quite like her and her new song and video are pretty special.
What Have I Done – LeAnn Rimes
There is little doubt LeAnn is singing about the relationship with her ex-husband. The two had a very public falling out with stories of LeAnn being with someone else during her marriage.
Again, we don’t know the entire story. We don’t know what was going on between the two married people during this time so there is no reason to make assumptions even though that’s exactly what many have done for their own entertainment purposes.
This song had to be difficult for LeAnn to record and to perform. I’m not sure how she does it because it seems like something most people would shy away from.
I think it was a brave move and hopefully the song provided some therapy for her and for some of her fans as well. It’s a great song. The music is stripped back and you just hear LeAnn and her amazing voice. I like the way they put this track together. It could be a hit in the new format of the Billboard charts. I don’t know if it will get radio play, but today it’s about straight sales just as much as it is about radio.
