Newcomer Tyler Braden appears to have been working hard for several years on his music.

That’s not an uncommon story in the country music world. These artists have to work hard to hone their craft. Writing and recording songs. Also playing live and trying to build an audience.

It’s challenging to get signed to a major label these days. Those labels are looking for proof that their investment will pay off. They can’t just sign a dozen artists and hope that one or two hit. They need a much higher success percentage these days.

Artists like Tyler, the ones that show promise, are the ones that get signed.

Here is the latest single from Tyler. It’s a good one.

There’s definitely some rock in Tyler’s voice. A little edge. Something you get sometimes in country music, but not as much as you might think. The production definitely sounds like a modern day country music song. It sounds like something that would work well at country radio. And I guess the song has already been included on two of the big country music playlists on Spotify.

The lyrics tell the story of a woman that’s going through the difficult days. Difficult in the sense that there are just a lot of responsibilities. Work. Paying bills. Dealing with everything in the personal life. Sometimes it feels good to just have some red wine and be with the person that makes you feel good.

This is a good one. Lots of promise.
