This one is grooving.
It’s an interesting time at Arista Nashville.
Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn and even Carrie Underwood are no longer there selling millions.
They’ve had a lot of turnover the last few years. Brad Paisley is the lone holdover.
But some really interesting things have been happening at Arista. They have a big hit right now with Lanco. Cam has a great new single that’s just coming out. They just signed Tim and Faith to co-deals.
And don’t sleep on their other new artist, Seth Ennis. Here is his new single.
Look At You – Seth Ennis
Last year Seth put out a single that was pretty good. It didn’t really break out on the charts, but it introduced his style and sound to the industry and to fans. That first single has over 12 million streams right now on Spotify.
And this new one already has over 2 million.
This one fits right in with what’s going on with Nashville right now. Very progressive. Lots of pop hooks, but when you strip it down it’s a love song that makes you feel good and gets you grooving.
That’s really something that’s been going on with country lately. The songs really get you grooving. Almost like some heavy R&B influence. Mello. Laid back. Just grooving songs that seem to be really cool.
Major labels have to be very careful with the new artists they develop. There isn’t as much room for error as a couple decades ago. So when they do sign and push someone new I like to pay attention.
