What I like about Jana Kramer is that her voice sounds like traditional country. There is a lot of twang in her voice. But she also brings this modern feeling and edge to her music. She comes from the Hollywood and acting worlds. She’s there with the in crowds and knows what’s going on out there on the cutting edge.
It comes across in songs like this. You hear the twang, but you also hear the modern sounds in the production. And it all kind of comes together really well in the song.
The song is about love, but it’s something a little different. You have a girl that has had her heart broken. In fact, it sounds like that’s happened more than just a couple times and now she’s wondering if she’ll find it again.
But she still believes in love and all the good things that come with it. It’s the kind of song that is made for people that have or are feeling this way. You realize you’re down now, but you’re not giving up. You’ll take time to be sad, but at least a little bit of you is happy knowing that you still believe that good things can happen.
