This one has some promise.
When a new artist pops up on the Big Machine roster it always makes you pay attention. That is the biggest label in Nashville and they’ve been kind of dominating things the last decade.
They have some of the biggest artists of today (Taylor Swift, Thomas Rhett, Tim McGraw, Florida Georgia Line and on and on…).
This is song that popped up on Wild Country. It’s a good song and I can see why Big Machine was interested. Let’s check out the new single from Levi Hummon.

I can’t really put my finger on this one, but there is something going on that is just kind of cool. It kind of has a pop music feel to it while still having a little country. I would say it leans a little more pop, but it kind of works in today’s country world.
And from the basic outlook it’s just catchy and it sticks in your head.
But I guess I would have to categorize this one has a sad country song. I think it’s about a guy that’s been working hard to get over a girl. They’ve broken up. He’s not supposed to be thinking about her anymore and it’s not going to work out as far as getting back together.
But he just can’t fight the feelings he’s having. And he’s making that cardinal sin of letting her know those feelings that he wants her back.
Pretty cool song from a promising new artist.
