What do you think of this one?
I’ve been hearing this song on Spotify for a while and I’m finally getting around to including on CML. I’m not sure what took so long because it’s been one of those songs that is catchy enough that it gets caught in my head. I think many people are liking this one.

Lovin’ This Beat – Sarah Ross
Again we’re listening to a female artist who has a really flirty and catchy song. It’s kind of a trend right now at radio. Obviously there have been flirty and catchy songs on country radio for a long time, but after a few years where women were held off the radio they are pushing their way back in and these kinds of songs are helping that cause.
There is a lot to like about the song. It’s about that feeling you get when you’re either in a young love or a new love. You’re hanging out with someone new and you’re having all these exciting new feelings. You’re not sure where it might go, but you’re enjoying everything about it.
So it’s a good song that has something people can relate to and what it really has going for it is that melody. It’s something that could get played over and over on radio.
I don’t know if that will happen. It looks like Sarah is on Average Joes, which is a label I really like. They’ve had a radio hit with Montgomery Gentry. With Spotify now it’s possible for new artists to build a following and maybe get some promotion help on radio from the major labels.
