Luke Bryan | Rain is a Good Thing Review

Luke Bryan hit the big time with his last single Do I.

So after reaching out and grabbing the heart strings of the ladies in country music fanland he’s back with an uptempo number that is pleasing to the ears of the guy listeners too.

His sophomore set Doin’ My Thingavoided the second album slump and looks to be on the way to selling more units than his debut.

I like Bryan’s voice and he seems like a true blue country type of guy that likes to sing fun songs that connect with the great folks of America.

Luke Bryan – Rain Is A Good Thing

4 Stars

Rain Is a Good Thing is fun and easy to sing a long with.

The chorus will get stuck in your head, but in this instance it’s not a horrible thing.

Luke Bryan Rain is a Good Thing

Some folks will probably think the song is a little silly – lyrics and melody.

I tend to lean towards the fact that this song is perfect at what it’s setting out to accomplish.

Bryan is writing a song about things he knows from his real life – farming and living in Georgia. His dad was a peanut farmer. He also sold fertilizer to make a living while Bryan was a kid.

So the song seems to fit the reality of Bryan’s life, which is always a plus.

There are seemingly a few ways to sing a song. One is to act as a narrator that is simply reading a story. Another is to act as the narrator that is actually living the story.

Rain is a Good Thing is one of the songs where the singer lives the story and the sentiment.

The song also turns a common feeling about rain on its head, which makes for an interesting realization for listeners. Most of us love when the sun is shining and we can spend time outside – especially in the summer.

But farmers realize the importance of rain…we all realize the importance, but we sometimes choose to ignore it.

Luke Bryan makes rain fun.

This song is a winner.
