Marry Me by Martina McBride

Martina McBride is one of my all time favorites.

I’ll get that out there right now. Her latest offering is a romantic song. It’s about marriage and falling in love. The song is a duet with one of the best pop singers of all time, Patrick Monahan of Train. The song is good. You just have to be in the right mood when listening.

Check it out.

Marry Me – Martina McBride

You can feel free to grill me on this one. This is not my favorite Martina McBride song. In fact, it’s probably not in the top 20. I just can’t find a place on my playlist for this one. It’s a good song, but Marry Me just doesn’t fine me in the right mood for listening.

The song is a little too soft for me. There is something to be said for great romantic songs like this, but I still feel like you need something catchy and with a good hook in the mix somewhere for people to sing along with. I know people love this song and I do think it will crack the top twenty, but that might be it.

We’ll see how things shake out. Share your opinion, please, on how you think the song will do.

Martina is a great artist. I think it was a good move to bring in Patrick on this song. They’re both two of the best at their crafts. They have unique voices and have been staples on the radio for years. It’s a good pairing. I hope they team up again in the future for another single. Maybe next time it will be something just a tad more catchy.

This song might grow on me if it catches on with radio, but for now I’m kind of missing on it.

Chart Estimate: #20

CML Points: 77/100
