Country fans are treated to another great song from Will Hoge.
Will Hoge has been out there working on his music for a lot of years. It would be hard for anyone to chase their dream into their 30s and 40s without really having a breakout hit, but that’s exactly what Will Hoge had last year when he released Strong.
The song climbed the charts and was featured in commercials. It was a bit of a surprise to country fans, but probably not to those that had heard Will Hoge before. I found myself wishing I would have discovered him sooner.

Will Hoge – Middle Of America
This song has similarities to Strong, but I think that’s the quality of Will Hoge. He’s writing about the folks in the middle of America where the work is hard, the families are strong and life is really good.
Strong was about the strong people out there that we all know and strive to be. This song is about a few of the more enjoyable things that people experience living in middle America. I grew up and live in Wisconsin. We’re pretty close to the middle and I can relate to the images and the feelings shared in this song.
The melody is great. It puts you right in the perfect setting for this kind of song. It reminded me of being at a fair at the end of summertime where all the locals have smiles on their faces. It’s good to be in the middle of America.
