Darius Rucker just won another Grammy award the other week. This time he won for the song Wagon Wheel, which was a cover song he did of a Bob Dylan and Old Crow Medicine Show song. Rucker’s version was good and it was one of the biggest songs of the year.
It’s pretty cool that Darius has now been part of two Grammy Awards, which a span of 18 years between the two. As part of Hootie And The Blowfish, Darius won back in 1996 when the band was the biggest thing in music.
Now Darius has made the successful transition to country music and he keeps putting out great singles like his latest, Miss You.
Miss You – Darius Rucker
Listen: Miss You
This song is a little different from Darius. It’s about the love a man and a woman share, but it really touches on the struggles of that love. Life can get in the way. Two people can drift apart even when they share the same bed every night.
It’s really painful when you’re not feeling that connection with someone. And it’s worse if you are still yearning for that connection more than ever with the person laying right next to you all the time. It’s like the idea of love is right there and you can’t make it happen.
Very powerful song from Darius that should go on and be another big hit from him. That’s not a bold prediction. At this point, Darius is pretty reliable as a country hitmaker.
Chart Estimate: #3
