Don’t go looking for trouble with Kip and his kind.
Kip Moore has kind of been doing things his own way so far in his career. He definitely has followed the typical path of releasing an album every couple years with three or four singles off each album.
Kip’s first record had three big hits on it. Then two songs came out that were minor hits, but they ended up not being on the next record. Then Kip had a couple more big hits from his second record.
But then earlier this year he just dropped an EP (five songs) with some interesting stuff for his fans.
There is one song on that EP that’s been kind of getting some attention. Let’s check it out.
My Kind – Kip Moore
I don’t know if this one will be a single. It kind of looks like this little album will just be kind of a stand alone thing, but who knows. This song has been getting some good play on Spotify by the looks of it. Maybe if it streams enough times it will get promoted at radio.
It’s kind of gritty and bluesy. That seems to be what Kip’s style has been turning into. Well, maybe I shouldn’t say it that way. He’s kind of had this sound since the beginning, but it’s also been evolving over the last five years or so.
The song is about the kind of person that Kip is and the others he relates to in life. There are certainly different kinds of people out there with certain attitudes. And we all know people that fit in this mold.
This is a good song. I like it. What do you think?
