Never Get Around To It by Bryan White (@bryan_white)

This past weekend my wife and I went to Bayfield in our home state of Wisconsin. Just a little getaway. We didn’t really have much planned other than walking around the town and stopping in some shops.

We stopped in a secondhand store. I was checking out the little music section and I spotted a cassette copy of Bryan White’s Between Now And Forever.

Now, I have a 1997 Ford F-150 complete with a cassette player. And I have a handful of cassettes that I’ll play when I’m driving it. So I had to get this one. The price wasn’t bad either. Just 25 cents. We’ll see if it works.

Seeing that cassette brought back some great memories. I was a pretty big Bryan White fan in the middle ’90s. He was like a modern day Steve Wariner. Just a talented musician making hit records.

And Bryan has been active lately. He had a new single out last year it looks like. I missed it, but we’ll check it out now.

Doesn’t he sound as good as ever on this one?

Bryan had a way of finding really catchy country pop songs. He could find them. He could write them. He just had a way of making some really great music during his run.

This one is about a guy that’s struggling to get over someone. That’s how I read it anyway. It’s really been something he just can’t get around to making happen. And that’s the way it goes sometimes with relationships.

Anyway, it’s great to have Bryan out there making new music. And it looks like he’s recently had some big interest in the Philippines. How cool is that?

UPDATE: I was listening to Bryan’s music on Spotify after writing this post and realized this song was a rerecording of a song Bryan had on his Love Is the Right Place record. Pretty cool.
