A beautiful, but sad new country song.
I’m just waiting on the song that will be the breakout for Mickey Guyton.
I’ve just listened to this new one for the first time and I’m in love.
She’s a woman after my heart with the music she makes.
I’m a big believer that there is room for all kinds of country music in country music.
Traditional. Progressive. Everything in between.
Mickey seems to have a style that fits in with the traditional and I love it. And this new song fits right in that mold, but I’m betting that this one has a real chance and being a hit.

How good is this lyric?
I would have never thought about saying this sentiment in this way. It’s about a woman that’s breaking up with a guy that’s been treating her bad.
That’s been the story in a number of country songs. It’s the done-me-wrong country song. But it’s said in a cool new way.
The guy messed it all up despite the warning all along that he couldn’t have nice things. And this girl is one of those nice things that he had in his hands and he blew it.
Just really clever and really fresh. And this sound seems like something that could work. I think after Cam and Maren have broken through with a style that’s similar that there is plenty of room at radio for Mickey and this song.
Maybe Bobby Bones will have her on to perform this one. And maybe he can sneak it into the rotation a bit.
