Nickelback’s new song This Afternoon
I don’t know if we’ll be hearing Nickelback on country radio regularly in the future, but this song does seem like it could find a place on the country singles charts this summer. Just as Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker have found success in country music, Nickelback has a song with melodies that country fans dig.
This song is fun like Kid Rock’s All Summer Long (co-written by Uncle Kracker) and summery like Uncle Kracker’s recent country top 40 hit Smile
I like the song.

The song is fun…The video is typically distasteful.
That seems to be how it works with Nickelback. Their songs are guilty pleasures. This Afternoon is just a simple fun song.

Nickleback is not country, Nickleback is rock. Some bands think that the pop/rock/or hip hop genre’s would be too unwilling to let them in or like Nickleback, the genres listed above are sick of them.. So they assume country will take them..

You commenters are idiots, they may be a rock band but this is done in a modern country style rhythm. It’s a good song, stop being part of the “oh they sold out and I’m going to bandwagon on the hatred train” movement about Nickelback. what exactly is wrong with this song? What could possibly make this the worst song in the world? Have you ever heard John Fruiscante’s “Enter A Uh” (he was on heroin)? Listen to that and tell me that you’d rather listen to that than Nickelback. FYI I’m not even a fan of Nickelback, I just think the hatred is undeserved.
