Kenny Chesney’s career kind of reminds me of George Strait a little bit. Their music is different. I like both artists. What I mean is that Kenny is about a decade behind George. In the 2000s, it just seemed that George was a consistent hitmaker and people expected great music every time and George would deliver. He didn’t have to prove anything, but he kept putting out great country music.
Kenny had a huge build up in the ’90s and then exploded in the 2000s. I wouldn’t say he’s the most popular artist in country during the 2010s, but it could be argued. He still has huge hits and the biggest tour every year.
And he’s back with new music and fans are already loving it.
Noise – Kenny Chesney
Kenny has done it again. He has a knack for finding songs that speak to a theme in life that a lot of people can relate to while that theme is still something that really hasn’t been touched on in country music.
To me, the theme of this one is the challenge of making a name for yourself in life. The noise in life seems to be increasing all the time. We live in an age when information is everywhere. And trying to make yourself heard and make your life something to remember is really a challenge.
But it’s always been a challenge I guess. But again, it’s something that many people can relate to. And it could also be interpreted as trying to deal with all the noise in life and needing to step back and slow down sometimes.
Whatever it means to you this song should have something for a lot of people. It sounds like another hit to me.
