Leah Turner’s first single made it into the 30s on the chart. I’m a little surprised about that because it was a really good song. You can tell that she puts everything into her songs and that’s true on this second single too. It’s really something good and I think you’re going to like it.
Pull Me Back – Leah Turner
The song sounds like something you’d hear from Kelly Clarkson or maybe Carrie Underwood. The voice is huge and the production is glossy, but good. It’s really the kind of song that can get stuck in your head. It’s powerful and makes you feel like this is a superstar in the making.
The song is about a couple that’s having some struggles. The women in the relationship pushes the guy away sometimes, but she loves him and wants him to fight for her. She wants him to pull her in close even when she’s pushing back.
This isn’t your traditional country song. Leah is not your traditional country artist. She’s coming in with full force. It’s a little bit pop and a little bit rock and roll. She’s almost like the band Heart in a way. They weren’t afraid to be powerful in the man’s world of rock and roll and I think Leah wants to do the same thing in country.
She definitely has the chops to pull it off and I hope she does. I think she’s one of country’s brightest female artists out there right now.
