Are you ready for some rocking country?
Randy Montana is a country music newcomer and he’s bringing a raspy voiced rock influenced brand of music to the scene. He had a top 40 hit in 2010 and now he’s kicking off 2011 with another song that may be the one to make him a breakthrough artist.
1,000 Faces is the name of the new song and it’s definitely unlike anything else on radio right now. The only thing I could compare the song to is the type of rock and roll country Jason Aldean is doing right now or perhaps the raspy kind of thing Gary Allan has been doing for some time.
I don’t know why, but writers (I guess that includes me) always try to compare new artists to artists we know. Perhaps it helps us describe the music.
Anyway, 1,000 Faces is a really cool track. The lyrics are about a woman. The narrator in the song sees all the pretty women in the world around him – the thousand faces of love everywhere, but he only has eyes for the one girl he’s been seeing in his dream and it’s the girl he’s with right now.
1,000 Faces is unique. It’s the kind of song that catches your attention with the groovy kind of melody at first and then keeps you interested with the lyrics. I think it’s the kind of song that will find it’s way near the top of the charts later this year.
We all want to fall in love and this is the kind of song that gives people that hope.
