The guys made a change in their career a couple years ago and scored big with their last album. Now they look to keep things rolling as they head into 2012 with a new single and new album release on the horizon.
Check out their latest and surefire single, Banjo…
Banjo – Rascal Flatts
The boys add a little twang to their sound for this new track.
Banjo has a little more country flavor than most Rascal Flatts music, but it’s a welcome sound. The guys still walk the line between country and pop. It’s where they’ve always been and nobody is complaining.
The guys have always been great at coming out with songs that play on all emotions. This track is nothing too serious, which I think is a great move. People need a little sadness in their country once in a while, but not all the time. It’s great when an upbeat track with a killer melody hits the radio waves.
Banjo is about heading out to the country and enjoying the rural life. Things get busy for the country folks that live in the city and the ‘burbs. Even in the country things can get busy with work, relationships and everything else in life.
Sometimes we need to get off the road, relax and enjoy the sounds just a little bit. I think it’s kind of cool that Rascal Flatts worked crickets and frogs and banjos into a modern country song. Those visuals are a little fun and a little crazy, but it works.
Every once in a while we’ll hear a banjo in a country song. I have always thought it was kind of cool. I don’t want to hear it over done, but it’s welcome in this instance.
I’m sure this track will hit the top 3 in no time for the guys. Their songs have been constant contenders for the top spot ever since their debut.
It’s hard to believe the guys have been around for over a decade making hits and it doesn’t appear they’re slowing down heading into 2012. Check them out this year if you have the chance and enjoy hearing them on the radio with Banjo.
