Sara Evans is one of my favorite female country artists.
The woman can flat out sing. I thought her last single would do better on the charts, but she and her label are moving on to single #3 off her last record. I’m ready for it. Here it is…Anywhere by Sara Evans.
Anywhere – Sara Evans
The voice is amazing.
I love Sara Evans. There is really nobody like her in country music. She has this wholesome country sound, but still can sing with just about any emotion out there. Whatever the song is about you feel like you are feeling the same emotion. That is how things are working for Anywhere, which is a great upbeat country song.
Anywhere is about a couple that’s ready to get away. They’re ready to get away from life.
Don’t you feel that way sometimes?
You wake up the morning and you just don’t feel like living this life anymore. You’re ready to sell everywhere, hit the road and move on. What’s stopping you? A job? There are jobs out there. Why not hit the road and go anywhere with the one you love.
I have to admit I’m a bit surprised that Sara went this way for the third single. I thought she would come out with What That Drink Cost Me…but the more I think about it the more I think this makes sense. The record label is smarter than I am and so is Sara Evans.
Anywhere is the first upbeat single for Sara in quite a few years. Although Stronger was upbeat, it was kind of slow moving. This one is fast and fun. The song is lightweight and really about having fun and enjoying life. I think it will do really well over the summer this year.
Then maybe Sara can come back later this fall with What That Drink Cost Me.
Until then we’re in great hands if we can listen to Anywhere on the radio for this entire year. Sara Evans is great and it’s always good to hear her music on country radio.
Don’t you think?
