You don’t get real country like this very often anymore.
I’m a big Lee Ann Womack fan. She’s been keeping in country for a long time and her most recent album stayed right there in the traditional country world. It certainly showed growth and tested a few boundaries, but you can always count on traditional with Lee Ann.
Here is a song that I missed as a video. Kind of kicking myself, but here it is now.

I don’t think it will ever get better.
What a great song with a really deep look into the struggle that many go through. It’s about a woman that is struggling in life. She’s looking for the answers and really isn’t sure where to go for them. She’s kind of sending up that last prayer for just a little push in the right direction.
It’s really a powerful song and stands out in all the country songs we hear today. This type of struggle and emotion has been common in country music, but we don’t get it as often anymore. It’s all about parties and having fun today.
And that’s fine. I like those songs. Nobody wants to be depressed, but it’s good to have songs like this once in a while. It shows a real side of life: Struggle.
We all struggle sometimes and these songs can help us know that we’re not all alone in that feeling.
Great song from Lee Ann. She’s still at the top of her game. Just a really classic country song.
