Sierra doesn’t sound very nice.
These girls are really talented. They’ve already had three hits from their debut album and they’re ready for another one with their next release.
This one looks at the relationships that women and girls have with each other. It always seems complicated. You remember that movie, Mean Girls? This song is a little bit about that, but really also about how if anyone treats anyone else bad that it usually comes back to bite them.
Sierra – Maddie & Tae
This song is about two girls kind of sitting back and looking at this other girl Sierra. She doesn’t seem to be living life the right way. She’s kind of full of herself and doesn’t seem afraid to treat others like dirt as a way to make herself feel high.
It sounds like she treats boys wrongly and breaks there hearts and also treats girls like they’re dirt. The narrators are looking at this and shaking their head. They see how Sierra is only focused on the short-term and that if you treat people poorly that it will always catch up with you in the long run.
This song is pretty catchy. These girls have shown that they know how to put together a good song with good melodies that people can sing along with. This one seems like it’s ready for country radio.
It’s been a strong debut for Maddie & Tae so far. They came along at a challenging time for women in country music, but they’ve forced their way into the discussion and I think they have another top ten hit.
We’ll have to see, but what do you think of this one?
