Country fans are going to like this.
Here is another new artist from the Big Machine family. He’s one of the new guys on the block at their Republic division. He’s in good company there with Florida Georgia Line, A Thousand Horses and Cassadee Pope. Will he be the next one to have a hit?
From the sounds of this one it sounds like he will. This one is catchy and seems to be catching on with country fans.
Sleep Without You – Brett Young
This one kind of reminds me of pop music from the ’90s. There were some songs out in that era that kind of had this light and airy feeling. They were catchy and all about love and feeling good. I kind of get that vibe when I listen to this one and that’s a good thing. The more I listen the more it grows on me.
The main hook of the song and the lyrics is that this guy is feeling the love for this girl. He never really thought he would feel this way and that’s how many of us feel when we’re young. We haven’t experienced love so we’re really not sure how to feel when all we can think about is someone else. It gets to the point where we need to be with them all the time and we can’t even sleep unless they’re lying next to us.
This song has a lot going for it. There is a lot of good country music out there right now, but the difference for Brett Young could be the fact that Big Machine is behind this song. It won’t guarantee anything, but the odds are good.
