Will Blake Shelton release one more single from his current album?
Blake Shelton is just about the biggest star in country music right now. He’s coming off his fourth hit single off the Based On A True Story record and it’s time for number five. Well, Blake might move on to a new record with something new, but there are some good songs left on the current album. My first choice would be Ten Times Crazier, but this would be a good one too.
Small Town Big Time – Blake Shelton
When I first saw the title on this one I thought it would be Blake’s version of a song Chris Young covered on his debut album a few years ago. But this is a completely new song with the same title and it’s a good one just like that song from Chris Young is.
The theme is the same. It’s pretty much about what it says in the title, but the hook is that Blake plays a guy that wishes he was having a small town big time night instead of spending so much time in the big city. You can see where Blake is coming from on this one. He’s been spending a lot of time in LA the last few years with The Voice. And I’m sure he loves it, but the pull of the small town is often too much for the country boys.
This song is catchy and it’s got all the potential in the world to be a hit. I don’t know what Blake and his team are going to decide, but hopefully the pick one or two more singles.
