Carrie Underwood

One of my favorite new country songs right now.

Women are coming back and taking over the country charts again.

It seems like Carrie Underwood has never left the charts. While she was busy becoming a momma she still had songs at radio and those songs have done well.

But Carrie is back and ready for a brand new studio album and the first single is officially at radio.

Smoke Break – Carrie Underwood

Great song.

I’ve been a fan of Carrie’s since the beginning. I think she’s in the running for top female vocalist in country music history. She’s certainly had a huge run of success and it’s not over yet. She seems to be getting better.

This song has some meaning behind it as well as having a great melody. The song is an anthem for all the working women and men out there. It’s a hard life and sometimes we all need to give into a vice. Not all the time, but sometimes because life can run you down a little too much.

There are a lot of folks out there kind of getting by. Sometimes life can feel like you’re doing all you can and you’re still falling behind. But through those phases in life we can work through and eventually come out on top if we keep on going.

Great song for Carrie and another example of how in touch she is with what’s going on with her fans. And I’m sure she felt like this the last few years trying to have a career and a family at the same time. It’s not easy.

I think it’s a hit.

What do you think?

Chart Estimate: #3

CML Points: 88/100
