This has been an anticipated single.
Old Dominion had a huge hit with Break Up With Him. I think it’s kind of a modern country success story where the song kind of started taking off and the band got picked up by a major label and hopefully they’re not turning back.
Who knows. Maybe that’s a game major labels play these days where they make it look like a new band is an underground sensation before they make it big.
Anyway…I’m a fan of the band. They have a really cool style and now they’re ready for their next single.
Snapback – Old Dominion
This is the first song off the guy’s new album. I always figure the first song is the most important. Everybody pretty much will play the first song on an album. That sets the tone so it better be good.
Right away this song jumps out with a great melody. It makes you kind of stop and pay attention. It’s got some country roots under there, but definitely fits in the modern country world with a catchy pop melody. I like it.
The lyrics seem to be about a guy picking up this girl. I can’t tell for sure exactly what the snapback is referring too. I might be out on that term so you’ll have to fill me in.
All I know is that this sounds like another catchy radio hit that country fans will love. It’s a song you can sing along with.
