The beginning of this song instantly grabs you. From the first moment you know this song is different from just about anything else you’ve heard in country music before. And I would have to say that’s a really good thing with this new song.
It’s always a story when two of country’s biggest stars pair up for a song. Usually that happens mostly on album cuts. That means most people don’t really hear it on the radio or anywhere else. Well this time we have two superstars singing on a single that will get played everywhere. And it’s two powerhouse females. Here is the latest from Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood.
Somethin’ Bad – Miranda Lambert & Carrie Underwood
This song is a rocker. Since these two women debuted it the other week it’s been the talk of the music world. It’s a women’s anthem and you know it’s going to get played a ton. It’s something you can really groove too. I can see people all over nodding their head back and forth and just having a good time with this one.
What makes this song interesting as well is the type of singers Miranda and Carrie are and where they are in their careers right now. Miranda is the one that’s more country and she’s been on the top of the country world the last couple years. Carrie was dominant when she first entered the charts in 2005 through about 2010, but her last album or so has been a little cooler.
We’ve seen this kind of rocker before from Carrie with Undo It and others. Miranda has had more rocking songs too like Gunpowder And Lead, but they’ve always had a little more twang.
What this song shows is that both of these women are awesome in their own ways and together they can really throw down some great music. It’s amazing that they were able to get this one together.
Country fans are lucky.
