Something ‘Bout You by Sir Rosevelt (@SirRosevelt)

I wasn’t sure if I should put this one on the blog.

Zac Brown has a side project called Sir Rosevelt. I think their aim is to be a pop act. And I totally respect that. Zac is one of the best artists in all of music right now. He obviously has interests in other genres. He put out some rock songs a few years ago.

Why not try something in the pop world?

But I thought since there was a connection with country and since country is always expanding that we could feature the song.

Something ‘Bout You – Sir Rosevelt

Very catchy. Something that kind of makes you want to dance. That’s kind of right in the pocket with what’s working right now in the pop world. You could see someone like Bieber or Bruno putting something like this out. I don’t know if Sir Rosevelt reach that level, but they do really good on this song.

And I don’t want to say that pop music doesn’t really focus on the lyrics. That’s definitely not true. But the focus is on the production a lot of times and the lyrics are kind of fluffy. That’s kind of what’s going on with this one. A pretty simple lyric.

But I like it. I like pop music. Sometimes you just need something that makes you want to move around.

Good for Zac for trying something out. I think they have a shot at reaching the charts.
