Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood is back with a new single and something a little different with her next album.

If you listen to country radio then you’ve probably heard the new song from Carrie Underwood. It made pretty big headlines when she announced the release. And people have really been responding to the song and as a result the DJs are really playing it. I can’t blame them. Give it another listen and share what you think.

Something In The Water – Carrie Underwood

This song seems to have a fresh sound and meaning for Carrie, but it also feels comfortable and familiar. I think she did a great job with this one. She’s credited as a co-writer on this track, which is something she’s been doing on her last few records. I think that’s really cool and pretty unique in country music.

The song has plenty of powerful vocals, which Carrie has become known for. She’s one of the best country vocalists of all time. It’s always good to hear her singing these powerful songs.

This one seems to have the theme of kind of having an awakening. You’re living one way and then something makes you realize that you should probably change what you’re doing and change your attitude toward things. It’s a powerful message and one that I’m sure people are connecting with.

The final interesting thing about this song is that it’s going to be on a greatest hits package. That’s not really something artists do very often anymore. Today if people want greatest hits they just download the greatest hits. So this is something a little different, but I’m sure Carrie’s fans will be all over it.

What do you think of the new song?

Chart Estimate: #1

CML Points: 86/100
