Mr. Country Cool is back with some new music.

I’m talking about James Otto. It’s been a handful of years since he’s put out new music and I’m sure his fans are pretty excited about this new one. I first heard it on The Highway on SiriusXM and now it seems to be picking up a little steam.

Somewhere Tonight – James Otto

Talk about catchy. This song sounds like a hit from the get go. You have this song that’s kind of rolling with something just kind of twanging all the way through. I like it.

The song seems to be about a guy that just wants to forget it all and spend the night with the girl that he loves the most. He doesn’t have plans or anything special in mind, but he knows they can have a great time wherever they are tonight.

This would be a pretty big return to the charts for James. He had a big number one hit back in 2007 and then rattled off a handful of other minor hits, but now he’s partnered with Blaster Records and it seems like they might be able to build some momentum with this one.

I hope it works out. James has always had something unique in country music and I think his style would work well with what’s being played on country radio today.
