I like the approach Eric took with this song.
There are a lot of songs out there about tailgates, trucks, Friday nights (wink, wink) and Jack Daniels. We all love those songs, but the hook of this song is that it’s about a girl and that’s it. That’s the entire focus and it all works pretty well.
The first thing that most people always notice about a new song is the melody and this one had another great melody. Eric is obviously a talented singer with a knack for being able to sing a melody that gets people singing along and tapping their foot.
As you listen to the song it starts at more of a medium pace and then it really gets rolling toward the end. It’s an uptempo song that will certainly have people grooving on those Friday nights when they’re out having a good time.
Great song here and I think it sounds like another hit for this new country artist.
