Randy Houser came out with a new album last week and it’s another really good one. His last album was a major breakthrough for this committed country singer. He’s been building momentum since that last album came out about three years ago and many were hoping he could keep it up with this followup.
He did well when the first single, We Went, shot all the way to #1 on the charts. Now it’s time for the second single. It’s a good one.
Song Number 7 – Randy Houser
This song has a few elements that are becoming Randy Houser classics. It slowly builds with a little rock beat and builds to a tremendous chorus that you can’t help but sing along with even the first time you hear it.
The song is about a couple that is out with friends at a concert or perhaps just listening to a DJ or jukebox. They’re meeting for the first time or really starting to think something might be there. The songs keep rattling out and by song number seven they’re falling in love and they know it’s meant to be.
That’s a pretty cool concept for a song and it actually kind of reminds me of how my wife and I fell in love. We worked at the same business and another coworker was a singer in a band and we would go watch the band on the weekends.
This song is really growing on me. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but I think it’s another smash hit.
What do you think?
PS – watch for Mine Tonight from this album. That’s my favorite.
