Hank Williams Jr.

You can’t beat a great country song about drinking.

You read that title right.

This one is by Hank Williams Jr.

It’s a classic Merle Haggard song, but this time it’s Hank bringing the track back to life. On the studio version you’ll hear Merle on there with Hank. It’s pretty cool, but for this review we’re looking at a recent live performance from Jr.

Stay Here And Drink – Hank Williams Jr.

There are a lot of people out there that love Hank Williams Jr. I’m one of them. The man has incredible talent for playing music. He might not have the best voice out there, but it’s certainly unique and it fits well in country. And he actually sounds really good in this performance.

There are others that don’t like Hank and that’s just fine. They can ignore him.

This is a classic Merle song. It’s one of the best songs in country history. I remember it well from the original version, but I’ve also heard the George Jones version when he and Merle put out a record about 10 years ago or so. That was a good album.

But this one is great too. Hank sounds good and we get a little old school country on the charts once again.

What do you think?
